ただいま～
Back from my 3 day batam trip, all I can say is specially meaningful and memorable ^^
第一日
Arrived at harbour front at 7am, by 9am we sat de 1hr ferry trip there. We were greeted by our tour guide, Yanto; and so our trip began~
1st stop was a polo shop which is alot cheaper anywhere else n no one bought anyting, lol
Den headed to kuah lapis shop, n de aroma of it hit me as soon
Hmm, after dat was lunch at dis place called Golden Prawn XD
Ahh I neva took pics of all de food, coz I was eager to tuck in. De fried calamari was yummy ^^
Uncle benny n granny
After dat de adults sang karaoke, including de so famous '我问天'.
Beleive me, my uncles n aunties, including my granny, are all karaoke addicts, n they specially brought their karaoke vcds wif them to sing.
'我问天 我问天~~... ...'
Was bored n hot...
We were given 1 hr to wash up n settle down, den we went to de next destination.
Ahahaa, after 2mins of bus ride we were here to watch a traditional Indonesian dance; I loved de music XD

By den it was mid afternoon, n was time for shopping at Nagoya ^^
Sadly, me n my mum spent all our time on manicure n pedicure as we need to leave for body massage, so got no time to shop!! D:
We only had like 10 mins to window shop, n there were alot of stuff there which caught my attention.
Arghhh~
Yay~ My 3rd dose to massage 8D
I had 1 and a 1/2 hr of feet massage dis time, while de others had de full body massage. Hmm was ok la.
OK, we made our way to de next stop by an open air tram, hehee so fun 8D
Ughh after like 1hr of their session, it was time to book in at Grand View Hotel.
Somehow de room looks alot like de one we stayed at malacca
We were given 1 hr to wash up n settle down, den we went to de next destination.
Ahahaa, after 2mins of bus ride we were here to watch a traditional Indonesian dance; I loved de music XD

Wahaa, I had no idea wad is de name of dis ship, but it actually serves as a 'dining by de sea' xperience ( there is no sea but a small water hole surrounded by a piece of barren land ).
But only wif at least 30 ppl den u are allowed de privelidge, and my family only had 19

Yea, could not see much coz night was coming in, n de light inside were very limited, so time for dinner~
We had bbq at our hotel's pool side, sia la interesting leh, but not de food ._.
Hehee, I couldn't really see wad I was eating O O
Coz was outdoor dinner in de night, n there was not much lightings around
Ahaa, n we had another karaoke session again, zzz
Seemed dat no matter where we go got a stage for us one lor. Oh me n my cousin sang 2gether sia!! 3 jolin songs, n 1 song wif auntie Suzie.
LOL, wad an experience ^^

Den we celebrated birthdays of all de June babies, including auntie Elsie, Unlce Alan, our cute little Desiree and...ugghh I cant rmb ._.
Well had quite a enjoyable night, den we turned it for de day.

Slept kinda well, until me n my mum were disturbed by 2 malay ladies who sala pressd de wrong room bell

朝ご飯 でした！！
Had breakfast at our hotel, n de food was average, wif a mix of Chinese, Malay n western.
Of coz, I had toast n fruits n salad n milk n cereal 8DD
We had bbq at our hotel's pool side, sia la interesting leh, but not de food ._.
Hehee, I couldn't really see wad I was eating O O
Coz was outdoor dinner in de night, n there was not much lightings around
Ahaa, n we had another karaoke session again, zzz
Seemed dat no matter where we go got a stage for us one lor. Oh me n my cousin sang 2gether sia!! 3 jolin songs, n 1 song wif auntie Suzie.

1st dish is dis herbal chicken soup
De weather was blistering hot, almost 1/2 of us headed back to de bus b4 they finish walking de entire place, ahaa
Yea, well it was de 2nd day where we visited 2 Christian orphange. We brought all our stuff that were to be given to them.
Hmmm, wad can I say, it was kinda sad to see those kids' state, especially one boy. He had a fever at a very young, n it got his brain damaged ( ya u know de situation ).
So auntie elsie n suzie being interacted wif de kids about Christianity, we sang songs, gave them little gifts and prayed.
Hehee den got 1 little guy quite hyper n smart de, hehee so cute XD
As we left he sent us out until our bus went off

Coz de driver was not there yet, a pic wif de bus.
Sia la, duno who suggested we stand according to height lor, coz de road is slope ma, damn funny sia.
Next we visited my 4th uncle who is living at Indonesia; too bad he is working, only his wife n son are at home.
Hai~ De next orphanage is more at a financial disadvantage; smaller building located in a squatter area.
The kids' age are alot smaller, but all are more active den de previous one. We did de usual of distributing out presents, and they just eagerly reach out n take sia; alot of hands stretching for de gifts. We left asap, coz another volunteer group reached when we were wif de kids.
It was already 2pm+, n so we left for a little shopping at Batam City Square.
Ughh, was a losey place for shopping, de appereal wear is so CMI, xcpet for 2 shops where I bought a t-shirt n bag.
Next next, go cart!!~
Weather was super nice for an outdoor game, $15 for 10 min ride.
Hehee fun sia, my 2nd time at go cart, I almost knocked into de tyres twice XD
Evening time, we headed back for de so called 'Pyajamas Night' auntie Angie organised at de hotel's function room. Ya so all of them wear dressed in pyajamas, xcpet me n a few, lol.
Our dinner~ Ehh not as good, de only good stuff is de corn soup n sambal fish, de vegs were surprisingly blend o o
Wahaa, we all had a blast seriously. We saw each others' hyper side coz of all de games. Especially de dance all u can part, Uncle Alan n Javen sibei funny lor, even my mum sia, made us laugh like mad, zomg~
I laughed damn hard when auntie Elsie danced tango till she fell. LOL
Those who won will get BK voucher, n my mum won 2, n I got none ._.
And yea, sang karaoke too, basically repeated de songs for yesterday.
Wahaa, 'Saturday night fever'?? Like wad auntie Angie said, we crazed till 12am ^^

Last day of de trip~
Had de same breakfast as yesterday, and we checked out at 10am.
Our last stop was at MegaMall, and I chionged my last shopping there, managed to bought some more stuff 8D
Sadly, got not enough time to finish shopping again!! Coz we need makan lunch n board de 3.10 ferry home ma.
Our last meal at batam, a Chinese restaurant called Fishermen
Sia la, duno who suggested we stand according to height lor, coz de road is slope ma, damn funny sia.

There are some comments I want to make 8D
- Our tour guide, Yanto, was super excellent!! He Chinese is well spoken, despite de fact dat he learned de language thru watching TV alone. He takes care of every little detail, like making sure all our dishes were being served b4 he sits down n tuck in, gave us reminder about our belongings, booked our massage, n de order of de kuah lapis.
On de 2nd day when we went to visit my 4th uncle, we got lost while trying to find de block unit, den Yanto got of de bus n searched for us, he ran here n there, asking for directions n all, n thx to him we eventually found it.
He even stayed up late becoz of us, especially on de 2nd nite, ahaa
Making sure our entire trip was enjoyable, comfortable n worthwhile, he had definetely achieved dat!! Thanks alot!!!!! We will ask u be or tour guide de next time we come!!
- We had brocolli, tofu, watermelon, papaya n honeydew in every meal!!
- My cousin Tifanny knows how to dress well!!
- Unlce Guo Hua eats alot!! He spammed all de meals!!
- Lastly, thank you to auntie Angie n uncle Benny for organizing de trip, yr effort is deeply appreciated, de gifts, n de games u planned ^^
Dis trip was far different from all my holiday trips I went b4, coz besides enjoying myself, it was de 1st time I visited orphanages and did some volunteering work. There were things to be learnt and as a self reminder.
I never had so much fun wif my relatives b4 sia~ Hehee, de 2nd night was definitely memorable ^^
